Senden stores data in Switzerland exclusively. We use Hetzners services in Finland for our load balancing proxies.
No, senden does not sell your data to any entity.
Some parts of senden, like our voice relay and later our federated server backends are open source. You can view their source code at any time (and contribute to it!). Components like the backend and web frontend will stay proprietary. The reason for this is that we do not want to create another matrix-like application, but rather a stable product.

Senden (previously unsend) has been in development for years now. Hosted on infrastructure by eplg.cloud/wireway.ch, we have a track history of hosting these services for free and at no privacy compromise (view the statistics section at wireway.ch).
