Senden is a messaging platform that connects people. We do not moderate or review messages in transit. You are responsible for your own actions on this platform.
By using Senden, you agree to these terms and to comply with Swiss federal law.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data you entrust to us.
Senden runs on a cluster of multiple backend nodes simultaneously. If one node fails, others continue serving requests without interruption. Your data is backed up to separate physical servers to protect against hardware failure or data loss.
The file sharing and CDN feature is an exception: it currently has integrity checks and can rebuild corrupted files if possible, but does not have full replication across servers. Full CDN replication is on the roadmap and will be introduced once Senden generates enough revenue to sustain the infrastructure cost.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly. We act quickly on confirmed reports and, where applicable, we will compensate the reporter or add them to our Hall of Fame.
Consequences: Immediate ban + law enforcement report when required.
Every message has a Report button. Use it if you see:
We review reports within a few hours. Urgent cases have a higher priority (abusing this may result in an account limitation)

Senden cannot read end-to-end encrypted messages on the server. When you report an encrypted message, your client decrypts the reported message along with the 10 messages before and after it for context, and submits that bundle to our moderation team.
Because you are the one decrypting and submitting the messages, we cannot independently verify that the content originated from the reported person. To account for this, moderators do not act on reported content alone. They also consider the reported user's overall behavior, usage patterns, and prior reports before taking action.
No single moderator can ban a user or close a report unilaterally. All enforcement decisions require sign-off from multiple moderators. Read more on our Safety & Moderation FAQ.
